Welcome to Drift & Design

Drift & Design is a space for the moments in between.

It’s where we share more of the story behind Cannon By the Sea — the inspiration, the process, and the everyday life that shapes what we create. Not just the finished pieces, but the choices, seasons, and small moments that influence them.

The name reflects how we live and work. Some things are designed with care and intention. Others drift into place over time. Both matter. Both are part of creating something meaningful.

Here, we’ll share reflections from the shop and beyond — new collections as they take shape, materials we’re drawn to, lessons learned while building a family-owned business, and the coastal life that continues to inspire our work. You’ll also see glimpses of our everyday: raising our kids, working side by side, walking the shoreline, and learning when to slow down.

We started Cannon By the Sea with the belief that the things we surround ourselves with — and the gifts we give — should mean something. Drift & Design is an extension of that belief. A place to document the process, share thoughtfully, and tell the story as it unfolds.

There’s no set schedule here. No pressure to post for the sake of posting. Just a space to pause, reflect, and invite you a little further into our world.
